Richard Ayoade
Richard Ayoade is a distinctive voice in British comedy and filmmaking, known both for his deadpan performances and his sharp directorial eye. Fans might recognize him instantly as the lovably awkward Moss from Channel 4’s The IT Crowd, a role that highlighted his gift for subtle physical comedy and offbeat timing. As a director, he brings a quirky intelligence to his projects, notably with the eerie thriller Loch Henry, where his eye for atmospheric detail and dark humor shines through. Beyond acting and directing, Ayoade is known for his witty writing and presenting, including his work on travel documentaries and panel shows, making him a familiar figure in the UK’s entertainment landscape. His collaborations, like those with comedian Matthew Holness or in adaptations of cult classic stories, underline his knack for blending the weird with the everyday to memorable effect.
