Matt Berry’s distinct voice and deadpan delivery turned him into a cult favourite, especially through quirky projects like The End, where his blend of dark comedy and surreal charm shines. Known primarily as an actor and writer, Berry often crafts characters that feel simultaneously absurd and relatable, such as his unforgettable Toast in The IT Crowd and the charismatic Steven Toast in Toast of London. His collaborations with directors like Richard Ayoade on The IT Crowd and his own writing ventures showcase a sharp wit that leans into the bizarre without losing heart. Berry’s work rewards viewers who enjoy offbeat humor anchored by unique, oddly charismatic performances.
